It is the first all-new truck to have been developed uncompromisingly under the "Trucks you can trust" premise.
The new Actros spent some 2600 hours in the wind tunnel – never before has a truck been developed and tested so intensively in a wind tunnel. Its aerodynamic design is one of major factors behind the reduction in fuel consumption compared to its already highly economical predecessor.
It is the first and, to date, only truck which has been developed rigorously to comply with the Euro VI emissions standard.

At the front end, the face of the new Actros dispenses almost entirely with straight lines and flat surfaces. Its look, developed specifically for a long-distance truck, is powerful, masculine and dynamic.

The high-torque 6-cylinder engine and perfectly matched PowerShift 3 transmission offers an immediate response, whilst an all-new rear air suspension and chassis frame provide unrivalled stability and comfort.
With comprehensive safety equipment including Stability Control Assist as standard and Active Brake Assist 2, Proximity Control Assist with Stop-and-go function and Lane Keeping Assist as optional extras, the new Actros sets a new standard in long distance driving safety.
