The New Atego

The New Atego is here and it has already been awarded the prestigious title of 'International Truck of the year 2011'.

This agile and reliable truck has made huge strides in engineering, innovation, comfort, safety and driveability with enhancements to the exterior and interior.

The modifications include:

• A new multi-function steering wheel which is pneumatically adjustable for height and reach. It enables drivers to operate the radio, telephone and driver information system safely and easily, without removing their hands from the wheel.
• A new graphics-capable instrument cluster which includes an ecometer to help save fuel and upgraded seats, with new contours and a range of comfortable, hard-wearing covers.
• Improved in-cab storage and the list of optional extras now includes a 23-litre electric coolbox.
• What is more, beyond offering distribution truck drivers many features previously found in heavier long haulage trucks, for the first time the Atego includes a factory-built diesel-electric hybrid version which means the truck is not only beneficial to the operator and the driver but also good for the environment.
